India has as much, if not more, to offer the adventure traveller
than any other country on earth. Fringed to the North by the
Himalaya it contains some of the most spectacular and remote
locations for walking, biking and rafting, and yet with its
jungles, temples and lagoons in the south contains something
to appeal to all tastes.
No trip to India is complete without a visit to some of the
historical and cultural sites from its past. In Rajestan there
is perhaps the most famous and beautiful building in the world
- the Taj Mahal, as well as deserted cities like Fatepur Sikri
and wonderful palaces such as the wonderful Lake Palace in
Udaipur. Elsewhere there are Buddhist caves, Hindu Temples,
as much history as you could want, strong regional cultures
and the fading remnant of the British Raj.
