Cultural Tours: No trip to India is complete without
a visit to some of the historical and cultural sites from
its past. In Rajestan there is perhaps the most famous and
beautiful building in the world - the Taj Mahal, as well as
deserted cities like Fatepur Sikri and wonderful palaces such
as the wonderful Lake Palace in Udaipur. Elsewhere there are
Buddhist caves, Hindu Temples, as much history as you could
want, strong regional cultures and the fading remnant of the
British Raj.
Mountain Biking/Touring: The northern areas of Ladakh
and Zanskar offer spectacular and remote scenery, as well
as a culture far removed from the plains. Whether you enjoy
gentle day walks or climbing non-technical peaks, freewheeling
downhill or crossing the highest road pass in the world, the
operators listed offer something for everybody.

rafting and canoeing on the many rivers that flow out, many
to join the sacred Ganges.
Wildlife/Safari: The most famous of India's wildlife
has to be the Tiger, this beautiful but endangered species
that is not confined to areas within the National Parks. Other
animals include the Asian Rhino and leopard, as well as crocodiles
and an enormous variety of colourful bird life.
Other activities: Camel Safari's are available in the
Rajestan desert, while in the south it is possible to explore
by elephant. For those who wish to relax and get away from
the bustle of modern life, the southern lagoons in Kerala
province offer a tranquil and beautiful way to let the world
and time drift by. For those who do not want to move at all
there are the beautiful beaches in Goa and at Kovalum.
