| Cultural Tours: The Royal
Cities of Fez, Meknes and Marrakech offer those in search of
cultural activities a living insight into the cities of the
East. Palaces, Mosques and bustling bazaars compete with each
other for your attention.
Walking/Trekking: For walking enthusiasts it is also
possible to get right up into the mountains, either by arranging
itineraries that stay in local village houses or by going
on a camping expedition into the more remote areas. In the
winter there is too much snow to visit these mountains, but
by heading south to the oases of Southern Morocco there is
still plenty of walking to be done in the Anti-Atlas and Jebel
Sahro ranges.
Mountain Biking/Touring: Outside the Cities Morocco
also has plenty to offer. In the summer the High and Central
Atlas mountain ranges, containing the highest peaks in North
Africa, are the ideal place to head if you are interested
in mountain biking. The local network of piste roads or tracks
make an ideal way to get off the beaten track and see some
of the rural life still lived in many of the mountain villages
by the Berber people.
